American Teletimer is hiring part-time camera operators for live broadcast horse racing at the Delaware County Fair September 15th-19th 2024. We are looking for competent Camera Operators to capture high quality video for TV broadcasting. You’ll be an integral part of our mission to produce the best show with striking visuals for the biggest week in harness racing. A camera operator has a steady hand and quick reflexes. We want you to be comfortable around expensive and delicate equipment as well as able to concentrate and attend to detail. Great broadcast television industry experience.

Responsibilities

Work with director to determine all aspects of shots
Prepare cameras and test angles or camera movements
Operate camera fluidly
Capture quality footage from a fixed position
Resolve technical or practical issues

Skills

Experience operating relevant equipment (cameras etc.)
Excellent theoretical knowledge of filming and capturing footage
Ability to think and act quickly
A team player
Attention to detail
Excellent color vision and hearing

Job Information

Averaging of 5-6 hours each race day (possibly less) at a rate of $125.00 a shift plus bonus.

Dayton Raceway's racing season begins September 24th 2024 until December 30th and racing will transfer to Miami Valley Raceway in Monroe, OH in January and continues through May. Qualified potential team members willing to work at all tracks for all 5 days will take precedence.
