Job description
Get your horse fix! We are looking for an experienced horse person to help feed and turn out 38 horses. We are hiring for both shifts. The AM shift is 7:00 AM to approximately 10:30 AM, the PM shift is 3:30 PM to approximately 7:00 PM. This is a part-time position.
- Have horse handling experience
- Have the ability to learn and grow your horsemanship skills
- Have a keen eye for safety and horse health
- Be able to think critically, make decisions when necessary, and communicate effectively with the owner and staff.
- Be neat, clean, organized and have a passion for horses!
You will be provided with lots of training and support to be sure that you are confident, and safe in this role. This is a great barn and a positive, drama free, working environment.

You must have a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation. Please be sure that you live within a reasonable (30-40 min max) driving distance to 40067.
This position is paid as an independent contractor.
Duties include:
- Feed approximately 35 horses - some are fed in stalls and some are given feed bags in the pasture.
- Turn out horses from the barn (winter) bring horses in the (summer).
- Check and fill water tanks.
- Refill individual grain tubs for PM.
- Rake aisles.
- Clean 2-3 stalls.
- Check general horse health, have a basic understanding of lameness and signs of colic.
