Are you looking for a career that can offer you a better work-life balance while practicing high quality medicine? Hagyard Equine Medical Institute is seeking a board-certified or residency trained DACVIM-LA veterinarian who wants to practice high-quality, high-volume equine medicine in the heart of central Kentucky.
Our current service consists of a cohesive group of internists with a range of experience. We are currently supported by numerous surgeons, theriogenologists, an ophthalmologist, as well as a robust field service (which includes a DACVIM). Our rapidly expanding caseload includes more than 300 NICU foals and over 2000 in-hospital/medical cases per year. We have a great group of support staff including a full in-house lab and pharmacy. We are an active teaching hospital, and our department offers an internal medicine preceptorship with includes the mentoring of > 15 residents and > 50 veterinary students a year.
Schedules can be flexible to suit qualified applicants with the goal of providing ample time off for all specialists while continuing to provide the highest standard of care to our patients. A comprehensive benefits package is included, and structured mentorship is available for those who recently completed a residency or those who seek it.
