Concession Food Handler

Responsible for providing quick and efficient service to customers in concession stands. Assembles food orders, checks for accuracy and completeness, and packages orders for on- premise consumption. Maintains cleanliness of counters and floors at all times. The ideal food handler must be a quick learner, mature, self motivated, reliable and dependable. Must be able to work Friday and Saturday.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Checks supplies in counter area and restocks items to sufficient supply throughout the shift.
Wipes off counters with cleaning solution and clean cloth.
Keeps counter and floor clean at all times.
Informs stand leader of shortages or special requests.
Picks up food items from serving bar or storage area.
Places items on tray or in takeout containers.
Checks orders to ensure guest is receiving complete and correct order.
Operates concession stand equipment (popcorn makers, ice cream machines, etc.)
Previous food service experience not required.
Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods of up to four (6) hours in length and have the ability to bend and lift up to 25 pounds frequently.
Must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively to customers and other employees.
Preparing and properly storing food
Operating concession stand equipment (popcorn makers, ice cream machines, etc.) - Setting up and maintaining clean work station
Previous food service experience not required.
Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods of up to four (6) hours in length and have the ability to bend and lift up to 25 pounds frequently.
Must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively to customers and other employees.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSURES, REGISTRATIONS

A Kentucky Horse Racing Commission license is required for all track workers.

A valid Fayette County Food Handler's license is required for all food and beverage staff.
