Essential Job Functions:
- Schedule appointments and meetings for Mutuels & Simulcast Manager and Director of Mutuels
- Interfaces with Oklahoma Horse Racing Commission as needed
- Composes correspondence, memorandums, e-mails, reports, and miscellaneous documents using Microsoft Office and other products
- Prepares outgoing mail, files correspondence, and other departmental records and reports
- Interfaces with all operational and support departmental staff as well as outside agencies and vendors, in a courteous, appropriate manner
- Responds to letters, items of concern, and/or inquiries promptly and politely in accordance with departmental policies and procedures
- Attends meetings as required, records the minutes, later types, and distributes the meeting minutes
- Prepares documents and reports monthly, quarterly, and/or annually for operational matters as directed, distributing in a timely and accurate manner
- Monitors and replenishes office supplies
- Perform all other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma
- Previous experience in a pari-mutuel environment preferred but not required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to work a flexible and irregular schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required
- Must be able to work in a smoke filled casino environment
Training:
- Must be able to pass Title 31Training
Licenses/Certifications/Other:
- Must be able to pass a background check and receive a license or permit from any Regulatory Agency if applicable to perform the essential job functions
- Must be able to complete a pre-employment drug test with a negative result
Physical Requirements:
- Strength:
- Light to Medium workload.
- Will be required to lift up to 20lbs, or exert occasionally over 50lbs
- Movement:
- Stand, sit and walk consistently
- Will consistently be required to touch, feel, stoop, bend, kneel, climb, reach
- Will use office equipment
- Driving motor vehicles as needed
- Auditory:
- Frequently speak and articulate
- Noise levels will be varied from light to moderate
- Environmental:
- Exposure to weather and extreme elements are minimal
- Minimal exposure in close proximity to horses
