Racing Queensland is looking for an experienced Finance Officer to join our Finance and Commercial team on a full-time permanent basis.
The finance transactional team at Racing Queensland are a very busy unit who undertake high volume calls and processes in relation to the distribution of prize money to industry participants for all three codes of racing. As a key member of the finance team, you will be passionate about customer service, have the patience and resilience to work with racing participants throughout Queensland, and who thrive in a fast-paced transactional environment, in some ways, similar to a call centre but with an AR/AP/Admin focus.

What you’ll do, day to day
- Undertake all operational tasks associated within transactional finance team.
- Support RQ stakeholders and its associated entities.
- Complete all duties associated with the processing and distribution of prize money for all three codes of racing in accordance with RQ’s policies, procedures and legislative requirements.
- Complete all duties associated with banking.
- Conduct a full review of aged receivables and payables, which can include but not be limited to: forfeits and nominations exclusion processes and weekly debt collection.
- Complete general ledger reconciliations.
- Review and amending process documentation as required.
