Exciting opportunity to work in an equine laboratory serving the Central Kentucky area!
Skills/Responsibilities Required:
The primary role and duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Generalist position performing duties in: hematology, chemistry, blood banking, immunology, and microbiology.
- Perform laboratory analysis of specimens from all patients in the clinical areas of hematology, chemistry, coagulation, microbiology, and special tests using established protocol and quality control checks.
- Report results as required, adhering to established techniques and guidelines.
- Restock supplies and tools in all areas as needed daily
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- MT/MLT, ASCP or AMT certification required.
- Ability to lift more than 30 lbs.
- Effective communicator both verbally and in writing.
- Proper vision for accurate interpretation of kit tests, slides, and specimens via the microscope.
- Prior experience preferred, but not required.
Schedule: Full-Time, including benefits. Varying hours; Weekend and holiday rotation required.
