SUMMARY
The Information Technology (IT) Technician is responsible for the successful execution of all IT initiatives as directed by the Senior Director of IT by ensuring maximum internal and external customer service through tactical execution and successful operation of all Owensboro Racing and Gaming technology and system processes.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Monitors system, network, and security performance for any irregularities repair technical problems and escalates issues as needed.
- Assists with I.T. projects and supports the I.T. staff to ensure continuity of service.
- Develops Knowledge Base documentation, makes recommendations for improvement, and addresses inadequacies in technical processes or environment.
- Provide on-site support for end-user problems and escalate issues as needed. Communicate accurate information to the IT staff on escalations.
- Find solutions to technically complex issues reported by end users, detected by monitoring, or escalated by the IT Help Desk staff. Provide end-user training and support as necessary.
- Resolve technical problems with moderate technical complexity.
- Leverage ticket system to ensure proper and timely execution. Act as liaison between site resources and corporate resources to escalate tickets as needed and collaborate on multi-site issues.
- Troubleshoot system/network/security issues and errors. Follow Service Level Agreement (SLA) protocols to resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive device information, including policies, procedures, revenue, budgets, and any other confidential or proprietary information.
- Execute approved initiatives by coordinating with support teams within the IT department and vendors participating in projects.
- Identify and request all materials and external resources required to meet project deadlines.
- Required to respond to recognized regulatory entities regarding any reported infraction to regulations.
- Assist the IT leadership in researching compliance regulations for potential IT acquisitions related to gaming or other related business operations.
- Adhere to and ensure personnel strictly comply with Owensboro Racing and Gaming policy and procedures, IT procedures, internal controls, Kentucky Horse Racing Commission (KHRC) rules and regulations, and federal and state regulations.
- Build positive relationships with Owensboro Racing and Gaming personnel and guests by providing exceptional customer service and fostering a collaborative work environment for all team members.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as necessary or assigned.

- Able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license and a Race and Sportsbook Employee License
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or GED Certification
- An Associate’s degree in computer networking or a related field is preferred.
- Three (3) or more years of related experience and/or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Experience in Microsoft environments, network management, and IT security.
- Proficient in basic computer skills (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.)
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Requires the ability to hear, sit, stand, talk, and walk with repetitive use of hands 51-100% of the time.
- Up to 25% travel when necessary
- Requires the ability to balance climb, bend over, crawl, crouch/stoop, kneel, reach overhead a turn/twist 1-24% of the time.
- Requires the ability to push/pull, carry, lift, slide/transfer 1-50+ lbs. 80%-100% of the time.
