TRACK MANAGER
Mount Gambier Racing Club Inc
The Mount Gambier Racing Club Inc (MGRC) is currently seeking a full time Track Manager to join and lead our team.
This role is responsible for leading the management, preparation and maintenance of both the racing (turf) and training (turf and sand) tracks along with the upkeep of the club’s grounds and facilities.
Suitable candidates must have a strong and pro-active work ethic, exceptional time management, communication and leadership skills. Applicants must have proven experience in maintaining turf sporting surfaces, developing, planning and reporting trackwork and maintenance programs. An understanding of sand based tracks and Toro NSN sprinkler systems will be highly regarded, but not essential. Formal qualifications in Turf Management or Horticulture related discipline is preferred.
The role includes a fully paid work vehicle separate to the advertised salary. The MGRC conducts 11-12 meetings per year with the Track Manager being crucial to the success of the meeting. Most meetings are conducted mid-week, however, working on weekend race meetings will also be required.
