The Manager of IT position designs and manages operations of Wagering Systems IT infrastructure. This role directs and reviews all technical and administrative aspects of the Network and Systems team. This position ensures the IT infrastructure is secure and dependable in meeting the business needs.

- Directs and reviews all technical aspects of network communications at the entity level including infrastructure (concentrators, hubs, routers, data switches, data lines), local area networks, wide area networks, problem resolution and network security
- Directs and reviews all technical aspects of operating system and related system software management, including installation, maintenance, administration and support of in-house and field workstations and servers
- Develops and oversees implementation of central data security policies, architecture and procedures
- Develops reliable metrics for hardware and software while directing and supporting implementation of upgrades
- Develops and maintains schedules by adjusting hours of work, priorities and team assignments to ensure an efficient operation based on workload
- Identifies security vulnerabilities and eliminates them with strategic solutions that increase data safety
- Identifies and recommends new technology solutions for the organization
- Facilitates risk assessments of company related projects
- Partners and/or leads in overall managerial assistance in complying with company policies and procedures
- 5+ years of experience administering Microsoft systems
- Demonstrated experience in large-scale enterprise network design including Security, WAN and LAN
- Strong and proven design and configuration experience with Cisco and Juniper based networks
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Enterprise products (Exchange, SharePoint, SQL) and VMWare technologies
- Knowledge of interoperability of technologies (Windows-VM-Routers-Switches-SAN, etc)
- Strong and professional management skills
- Possesses excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to work well with people of various backgrounds and skill levels
- Self-disciplined, self-starter, professional who can successfully bring projects to closure with a minimum of direction, guidance and oversight
- The ability to operate independently, without close supervision
- Preferred Experience and/or Education: Wagering/gaming industry experience; Knowledgeable in horse racing, pari-mutuel wagering, gaming, sports wagering and/or social marketplace industries
