POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, the role of Corporate Director of Player Development is to develop and manage process, procedures, PD team, reporting and the one-to-one relationships for Affinity Gaming most valuable customers. This role will be the leadership position for all Host and Player Development Managers to design, coordinate, and lead the sales systems, analytics, measurements, and executive leadership throughout the casino portfolio.
This position is accountable for all player development initiatives to drive traffic, engagement, leads that deliver sales, bring new players, customer engagement, and retention.
The role requires the candidate to have strong writing, communication and ideation skills, and a passion for gaming, horse racing and/or marketing.
JOB RESPONSIBILTIES
- Formulates and makes recommendations regarding policies and procedures for Player Development to the Director/Vice President of Casino Marketing at each property; works closely with other executives and managers in planning and executing programs to assure the ascertaining of company and department objectives.
- Hires, trains, motivates, evaluates and manages internal staff in order to ensure that employees receive adequate guidance and resources to ascertain and exceed established objectives.
- Monitors and evaluates all department programs, events and projects to ensure successful execution leading to achievement of department goals and contributing to company profitability.
- Prepares operating budgets, monitors budgetary compliances, and acts on budget variance items.
- Evaluates performance of Player Development programs by analyzing data and reports to implement changes allowing for the most successful implementation of future programs.
- Participates in communication and forecast meetings to contribute a Casino Marketing perspective to issues.
- Controls and regulates room blocks that are beyond the authorization of Casino Host by making decisions on exceptions to accommodate preferred customers while maintaining consistency most strategically in policy administration.
- Hosts selected “top end” high-limit guests and accommodate their needs within program guidelines to ensure guest satisfaction and encourage return visits.
- Coordinates company player database to ensure effective Marketing.
- Submission of slot/table game tournaments rules to the Compliance Officer for approval.
- Work with customer contact department to develop and implement strategies and programs to cultivate market for new and existing customers.
- Organize special functions and participate in efforts to invite customers to special events, individual and or obtain feedback on customer satisfaction.
- Monitors high-limit guest programs to manage programs to ensure maximum profit margins, adequate play levels and appropriate cost controls.
- Develop marketing content/programs that can be scaled across multiple platforms.
- Forge strong cross-functional relationships with collaborators to translate strategic marketing objectives and messaging opportunities into customer-facing copy.
- Collaborate on thoughtful content strategies for testing different components of campaign and marketing materials.
- Actively contribute to the development of the team’s creative culture and standards of quality by developing solutions for scaling on-brand copy across teams, projects, and channels.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- A bachelor’s degree in marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- 8-10 years of relevant work experience in digital editorial, social marketing, preferably within horse racing, publishing, gambling, gaming or consumer e-commerce businesses
- Excellent written communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial work environment
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group environments
- Travel to Affinity gaming properties is required.
