Position Title: Foreman
Reports to: Track & Facilities Manager
Position Summary:
- Through the Track & Facilities Manager, to manage the daily operational functions of track and facilities staff at Scone Race Club
- To act in the Track & Facilities Manager’s stead if/when required
Key responsibilities:
- Assist the Track & Facilities Manager with task allocation and supervision of casual and permanent track and grounds employees.
- Supervise staff performing operational activities relating to the preparation and maintenance of:
- training tracks and facilities.
- racing surfaces and infrastructure.
- maintenance machinery, and
- on-course tie-up stalls
- work individually and as part of a team to perform grounds maintenance and race day activities under the direction of the Track & Facilities Manager
- read and comply with employee obligations as per the SRC Workplace Policies and Procedures

- Work independently or within a team.
- Strong leadership skills and high personal performance standards
- Work under pressure and to fixed deadlines
- Display initiative and sound judgement in decision making.
Qualifications Highly Regarded:
- Extensive experience working with horses.
- Working in Racecourses in a Track and/or Facilities capacity, including experience on Race Days, at Barrier Trials, Jumpouts and Trackwork in various capacities
- Current First Aid and CPR accreditation
- Current Drivers Licence
- Various tickets as applicable
