Equine Radiology Assistant – Full-Time Opportunity at Premier Equine Hospital

What You’ll Do:
- Prepare radiology suites and equipment for imaging procedures
- Safely handle horses of all sizes and temperaments, assisting veterinarians during radiology and lameness exams
- Learn to take radiographs and assist in surgery or imaging prep
- Ensure radiology suites and treatment areas are clean, well-maintained, and fully stocked
- Cross-train to support other veterinary teams and technicians as needed
- Participate in regular training and educational programs to refine your skills
What We’re Looking For:
- Prior horse-handling experience is a must
- Ability to remain mobile for long periods (standing, walking, jogging) in a physically demanding role
- Must be 18 years or older
- Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Preferred Experience:
- Familiarity with Thoroughbred and Standardbred racehorses is desirable
- Experience in equine veterinary care or similar settings is highly valued
- Experience working with foals and/or yearlings is a plus
Schedule:
- Monday-Friday, with flexible end times based on caseloads (typically finishing between 3 PM – 6 PM, depending on the time of year)
